Who's Hot & Who's Not
Written By: Mike "Peawok" Fleming

With the regular season over, I'm clearing the "Hot or Not" list from the season. It's all about the playoffs now.
San Francisco Optx > New York 3D 23-17
3D Source Team
3D’s Source team came out strong against Optx. After an unfortunate 6-3 de_nuke CT half, they fought back to win the match 10-8. Nickn0it almost clutched the final round as well and got stuck one round as well. 3D showed why they are one of the best teams in the league with strong play over a resurging Optx squad.
Optx Forza Team
Optx’s Forza team came up huge in the final match. They needed to hold 3D to, at worst, a 4-3 win. A 5-2 would tie the match, and a 6-1 score would give 3D the win. In a fairly tight match, Sackamonjaro came up big, colliding into both 3D racers to give Miximup an insurmountable lead and ultimately clinching the franchise match.
NinjaCW
NinjaCW dominated the entire match against Cheppelle, winning 5-1. He was clearly the better player tonight and his dominant play during the playoffs has been essential for San Francisco.
Vanessa
After another unfortunate loss to Phoenix, Vanessa came back strong, winning 5-2 over a strong Coolsvilla. Although Coolsvilla played terribly against Mystik, she still could potentially upset Vanessa or make it extremely close. Vanessa would have none of that, however, taking Coolsvilla down in a somewhat close match.
Wizakor
With 3D’s backs against the wall, Wizakor needed to win big against Stermy to even give 3D a shot. After a 0-0 half, Wizakor came up with two solid goals to finish the game 2-0. Those two goals gave 3D’s Forza team a shot to clinch for 3D.

San Francisco Optx > London Mint 25-21
Vanessa
Vanessa came out strongly again with solid play over London Mint’s Strobe. While many expected Vanessa to win 5-0, she still came out strong to win the match 5-2. Vanessa is essential to Optx playoff chances as they move on to the World Finals.
Optx Forza Team
The Optx Forza team played extremely well, winning their match 5-2. Sackamonjaro again played crash and burn with Mint’s racers, and still found a way to take third. Miximup placed first, giving Optx a strong 5-2 victory.
ChrissyB
In a match where ChrissyB was clearly the stronger player, he was forced to win in shootouts because of strong defensive play from Stermy. He knocked in three while holding Stermy to two, giving himself the win. In his own words, "justice was served for once in a FIFA game." Agreed, ChrissyB; agreed....
Mint Source Team
As definite underdogs, London’s Source Team needed to come up big against San Francisco. The Optx Source team has been playing very well lately, but London’s team played very well, winning 10-8 and helping their franchise immensely going into the final matchup.
NinjaCW
NinjaCW needed only two rounds to clutch the match for the Optx. After going down 4-1 to Paddaman, NinjaCW struck back, winning the next four rounds to clutch not only the franchise match, but his own individual match. With Vanessa for DOA Female, San Francisco needs NinjaCW keep up his game as well to pack a huge one-two punch in DOA.
