RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS - 2008: Ronald McDonald House


The compLexity Family had a very great experience today when we spent the afternoon volunteering at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House is a charitable organization that provides very inexpensive housing for families with sick children while they are enduring long hospital stays. Many families find themselves in a very bad financial position when their children get sick with cancer, etc, and the Ronald McDonald House provides rooms for long term stays at a max price of $25 per day.


Recently, the L.A. Ronald McDonald House completed a $22 million project (all paid by donations) which will enable them to support many more families in need. The Syndicate offered to stop by for an entire day of volunteer work and donate an X-Box to the kids' toy room. (And lots of coL gear!) We spent the day mounting 40 flat screen TV's and setting up the video games for the kids. The actual building opens this July and we wish them the very best of luck as the charity group reaches out to families and children in need.
